COBRA'S LIGHT

Here we have a very old ghee lamp. The smooth surfaces indicate that this lamp has been a part of many ceremonies. The cobra at the head of the lamp denotes protection. There is also a handle so that you may carry the light with you. This piece is made out of brass and is no longer intended for use. Exact age is unknown, but we estimate it to be between fifty and one hundred years old. Please note the Tradewinds does not clean or polish any of our old and rare pieces, because cleaning may devalue these age old pieces of art. Discovered in Nepal.
